BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.
We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

I know Chocolate Chip cookies are popular; but I have to admit I was surprised to see it be the 'top' holiday cookie in a recent poll. I like them, but only when they are 'warm', straight from the oven. I prefer Sugar cookies: mainly when I can add frosting/decorations to them! And 'cut out', of course. I also really like Oatmeal Raisin cookies. And I have a couple of favorite recipes when I manage to find time and energy to bake from scratch. I recently had Oat... Read More
Here are some fun facts about this hectic month. December is almost coming to an end, yet again. It's all around us. Snow, cold, no sunlight for too many hours, larger shopping crowds, traveling more miles here and yonder, eating more… you get the picture. According to Wikipedia, December starts on the same day of the week as September every year….and ends on the same day as April every year (who knew?) I've said this for years: if they'd make the containers smaller, there wouldn't be such 'waste'--so much plastic. However, I'm sure the idea is that if the consumer actually sees how 'small' the amount is, they'd compain about pricing. This was 60 tiny pills. The second half of my pet peeve is the constant TV ads for medicines! I wonder how many people ac... Read More
